Effective December 1, , face masks are required at all company-owned Pearson Professional Centers PPCs in the United States and United States Territories regardless of vaccination status per the requirements set forth in Executive Order and in compliance with CDC guidelines for areas with high or substantial community spread.
Unvaccinated individuals are always required to wear masks and distance. Candidates who do not comply may forfeit their ability to take current and future exams.
Pearson will not issue refunds to candidates who do not comply. Candidates who do not comply with the mask requirement will be refused to test and may forfeit their ability to take current and future exams. Beginning September 1, , all attempts of the same examination, no matter when they occurred , will count toward the 5-attempt testing limit regardless of when the examination was first attempted.

Location: Testing locations are available throughout the state of Texas, surrounding states, and some international sites.
You should be able to find a testing center close to you, or in the closest metropolitan area. If you fail your test or a subtest of your test you must at least 45 days before retaking the test. But the Pre-Admission Content Test allows you to take your content test before enrolling in a certification program. For more information, visit our Pre-Admission Content Test page.
Passing an individual subject area- like Science will allow you to teach in just that specific content area. For example, to teach high school Mathematics, you must pass the Mathematics exam. If you want to teach Special Education, we recommend contacting a certification program. Typically, to teach Special Education or 8 th grade and below, you must pass a content test as well.
